The EDC X9L is a modern hybrid, combining the EDC 9 1911 slide assembly with the all-new high-capacity X-frame. The X-frame, machined from T 6-7075 aluminum, accommodates a high-capacity magazine while maintaining a grip smaller in circumference than a standard 1911. This grip, however, still retains the traditional 1911 controls.

The EDC X9L's 15-round, double column magazine was developed in collaboration with Mec-Gar, the industry leaders in double column magazine design. The front and back strap of the EDC X9L are machined with the Wilson Combat X-Tac tread pattern, providing a tactile but nonabrasive grip in all shooting conditions.

The EDC X9L is compatible with the majority of holsters designed for 4" or 4.25" 1911 pistols and is available with or without an accessory rail. The firearm features a Black DLC finish on the slide, a unique X-TAC rear & front cocking serration treatment on the slide, and a 5" stainless cone barrel with a reliability-enhancing lock-up.
